 | "Our Heroes"
To set the tone for our first "hero" recognition, I decided to write about a few ladies and gentlemen that a lot of us know. The ones who run the MDA offices in our area. I don't know about you...but I truely believe they are AWESOME!!!!! They are the ones who are out tromping through the "jungles" of the MDA world, to help us raise enough money to go to camp and clinic, to find us a chair or braces, and hopefully to raise enough money to eventually see a day when the world won't have to know what it is like to deal with a neuromuscular disease. In every MDA office in the US, there are men and women like the ones in the office near us, that are constantly trying to come up with new ideas to help raise money for our cause. Thank God for them! Tomorrow another one of our heroes will take a stand for us on the Senate floor. Mr. Jerry Lewis will speak on our behalf in hopes to have more money allotted for research. This man has given so much for us through the years. Thank you, Jerry! The next time you visit your Patient Services Coordiantor or one of the Fundraiser Directors in your area, be sure to give them an extra special hug! They are fighting a lot of our battles for us. Thank you ...Employees of the Muscular Dystrophy Association! You are our heroes!
